Study on Salinity Reduction and Changes in Chemical Properties in Saline Soil

Background: The aim of the work was to evaluate effects different treatments viz manure as organic amendments, gypsum amendments and nitrogen resources on salinity saline soil. Methods: research conducted using a 2×4×3 factorial design. first factor (non-manure manure), second addition gypsum, @ 0, 0.75, 1.5 3.0 ton ha-1) third source i.e. without N, nitrate ammonium fertilizer. These three factors were repeated 3 times. Data analyzed one-way analysis variance followed by Duncan multiple range test for comparisons among means with significance level 5%. Result: This markedly reduced pH, EC, Na increased sulfate, K content. But CEC, SAR, ESP, total nitrate, not significant. highest Ca content in tons ha-1 treatment non manure. Meanwhile, interaction between N resources, Mg nitrate.
